Day twenty six

Come, sit by the fire

It’s only me.

Others said to say sorry but

they had to leave.

They made a good

fire though.

And in the morning,

We’ll grab some breakfast,

Maybe we’ll go for a swim.

The water is cold

 around here.

You won’t like it.

But once you are in, it’s fine.

I just run straight in sometimes.

Make sure you live by

the sea.

I miss it.

You will.

Anyway, see how you feel in

the morning.

Whatever we do, we’ll enjoy

our time together.

I like you.

I mean, I don’t like

everything you do

but, on the whole, I like you.

Very much.

…

The others?

They will come back.

Well, some will.

So will some new ones.

Ah, they come and go.

And that’s fine.

It’s alright when there is no one.

You can be with your self.

Be.

Once you are, it’s fine.

And now that we met,

When the being gets

 too much,

We’ll find each other again,

and, if you want, the others

will find us, too.

…
