Day twenty two

Whether it’s in a frame

On a camera, a calendar

On paper peeling at the sides

Or left on the fridge, held up by magnets and memories,

My photo is still important to me.

Whether I took it ten years ago or ten minutes ago,

When I had young careless curly hair

Or when the straighteners took over

My photo is still important to me.

Whether it has my friends now

Or pictures a friendship long past.

Photographs are us,

Photographs were us,

So my old photographs are still important to me.
